Update

So, against my better judgment, I ordered this poster…but not through Instagram, where I'd originally seen it.

I tracked it down online and it turns out it was being sold by several different sellers—all of whom seemed sketchy. They were all described as "limited edition" with the runs "ending soon." So I went with the site (Kybershop) that had a price halfway between the extremes I'd seen. Order went through, and about ten minutes later I get an email from a totally different site (Moteefe – which I'd checked out that had gotten horrible reviews) telling me my order was in process.

Unlike ordering through Instagram where things just disappeared into nowhere without ever arriving, the order was processed, printed, and arrived today.

And as I'd suspected, the quality of the 36×24-inch poster is crap.

These photos were all taken from a distance of about 8" from the poster and they are all in focus.

So to sum up, some yahoo took a photo (probably in a gallery or a museum because there's no artist signature on the piece or maybe even just a screen grab off a computer) at a resolution that was way too small to blow up to poster size.

I mean, could have just taken the screen grab I got and had done the same thing.

Needless to say, I've put in for a refund, but I never expect to see my money because It's a seller going through a third party going through a third party.

So all I can say is "Caveat Emptor," Let the Buyer beware.

(I may still blow up the screen grab I got and print it out on an 8-1/2×11 and get that mounted and framed. It's bound to look better than this piece of crap.
